2020 NPP parliamentary candidate aspirant arrested for stealing

The Suame Divisional Police Command and the Ashanti Regional Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID) are both investigating self-described vehicle trader Vincent Acheampong on a number of criminal accusations.
The defendant, who is the subject of several complaints filed by his victims around the nation, was apprehended at his hiding place at Breman UGC, a suburb of Kumasi, after engaging in a lengthy game of hide-and-seek with the law enforcement authorities who have been looking for him.
He would steal vehicles from well-known car dealers, pretending to sell them on their behalf, and then flee with the cash and the cars, leaving no trace behind.
As an illustration, it is established that he stole a journalist’s car from Tamale, exchanged it, and then stole a businessman’s car from Kumasi with the promise of topping him off. Former NPP constituency executive for Offinso North Vincent Acheampong fled, and despite numerous attempts to recover the aforementioned cross-country car, none of them were successful. When pressure to deliver the automobiles increased, he issued several checks with a face value of GHC190,000. Due to the dormant accounts, the checks were dishonoured by the different banks.
