Cedi Trades at GHS 11.90 on Forex Market, Interbank Rate at GHS 10.61 for August 11
Accra, Ghana — The Ghanaian cedi held steady in its value against the US dollar on Monday, August 11, 2025. At forex bureaus, the currency was trading at GHS 11.90 for dollar sales, while dollar purchases stood at GHS 11.50, according to data from Cedirates.com
On the interbank market operated by the Bank of Ghana, the cedi was quoted at GHS 10.59 for buying and GHS 10.61 for selling, reflecting a more favourable rate for larger transactions Modern Ghana.
Beyond the dollar, trading in other major currencies showed:

British Pound (GBP): Bureau rates averaged GHS 13.96 (buying) and GHS 14.76 (selling); Interbank rate was GHS 14.26 Modern Ghana.

Euro (EUR): Bureaus quoted GHS 12.16 (buying) and GHS 12.82 (selling); Interbank rate came in at GHS 12.37 Modern Ghana.
Digital remittance platforms also listed competitive rates:

Streaming service subscribers using Visa or Mastercard saw an exchange rate of about GHS 11.34 for payments to platforms like Netflix, Spotify, and Apple Music
