Sunyani, Bono Region — Ghanaian actor and filmmaker Lil Win, known off-screen as Kwadwo Nkansah, narrowly avoided a serious accident on the Sunyani road when an overloaded truck hauling sacks of onions attempted a reckless overtaking maneuver. The vehicle nearly collided with his prized GH₵1.2 million 2024 RAM 1500 TRX, featuring custom stickers from his latest film project.
Footage from the scene captured the tense moment. The truck driver, visibly distraught, dropped to his knees before Lil Win, begging for mercy as police officers intervened to calm the actor’s temper. Eyewitnesses described the incident as a frightening brush with danger that could have easily turned tragic.
Lil Win, dressed in his military-style costume from his recent production Ibrahim Traoré: The Last African Hero, admonished the driver for his reckless conduct, urging a reevaluation of such dangerous driving habits.
The public response was swift. Many viewers recalled a similar accident in May 2024 involving Lil Win in Kumasi, which tragically led to the death of a three-year-old. Commenters used the incident to spark conversations around road safety and cautious driving as Ghana continues to grapple with recurring traffic incidents.
