According to local reports, the young boy was declared missing after a community-wide search proved unsuccessful. It later emerged that his own father was behind his disappearance and subsequent death.
Arrest and Community Outrage
Police in Manso Amenfi confirmed Abdul Salam’s arrest after preliminary investigations linked him to the boy’s death. He is alleged to have committed the act for ritual purposes, sparking outrage and fear among residents.
The tragic incident has left the entire Adidaase farming community in grief, with many struggling to come to terms with the disturbing betrayal of parental trust.
“This is beyond heartbreaking. We are still in shock that a father could do this to his own child,” one resident lamented.
Call for Justice
Community leaders are demanding swift justice, urging authorities to ensure that the suspect faces the full rigours of the law. The case also reignites national concern about the rise of ritual-related crimes in parts of Ghana.
