A 16-year-old motor repairer is in critical condition following a tricycle accident at Potsin Junction in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
Eyewitnesses say the boy, who is popularly known for riding recklessly after work, was performing dangerous stunts with the tricycle — locally called aboboyaa — when he lost control and overturned.
He was initially taken to the Potsin Polyclinic but later transferred to the Trauma and Specialist Hospital in Winneba due to the severity of his injuries.
Ebo Anderson, a resident, recounted that the teenager’s reckless behaviour led directly to the accident.
“Because of his careless riding, the tricycle overturned, leaving him in critical condition,” he told Adom News.
Doctors at Winneba confirmed that the victim sustained multiple fractures in his right leg, with both bones severely damaged.
