Starting in 2026, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) will unveil DVLA Select, a pioneering online platform that empowers vehicle owners to reserve their preferred registration numbers before completing official registration.
According to a Citi Newsroom statement, the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to modernize vehicle registration procedures, making them more transparent and user-friendly.
“This platform will allow clients to choose and reserve their preferred vehicle registration numbers online before completing the full registration process at the DVLA office,” the DVLA announcement explained.
While the DVLA has smartly emphasized that “more details will be communicated later,” this move marks a significant step toward digitizing Ghana’s transport services and improving customer convenience.
