Two Arrested in Spintex Robbery; Police Recover Stolen Items
Accra, Ghana – The Ghana Police Service has arrested two suspects in connection with a robbery at a residence in Spintex, Accra, on September 14, 2025.
Director-General of CID, COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, confirmed that the suspects, 26-year-old Prince Opoku (aka Agyenkwa) and Nigerian national Jennifer Nweke, were apprehended in Adenta on September 18 following a tip-off.
The robbers had broken into the 35-year-old victim’s home around 3:25 a.m., stealing gold jewelry, a laptop, watches, handbags, clothing, $5,000, and GHS 21,645. Items such as a machete, metal cutter, and a T-shirt were recovered from the crime scene.
A search of the suspects led police to a hideout in Abokobi, where additional stolen items were retrieved. Opoku confessed and identified an accomplice, known as Mensah (Taller), who is currently at large. Police investigations continue as authorities work to apprehend other suspects.
