Steals Spotlight at 2025 Civil Service Week Celebration
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration emerged as the standout institution during the 2025 Civil Service Week celebration, held under the theme “Transforming Ghana’s Civil Service Through Innovation and Efficiency.”
The week-long celebration brought together key government ministries, departments, and agencies to showcase their achievements, engage the public, and promote transparency in service delivery.
At the climax of the event, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was recognized for its outstanding performance in public service innovation, digital transformation, and effective international engagement. The ministry’s exhibition attracted widespread attention, featuring detailed displays of Ghana’s foreign policy milestones, consular services, and global diplomatic collaborations.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating, “This acknowledgment reflects the hard work of our dedicated staff and Ghana’s growing reputation on the international stage. We remain committed to strengthening diplomatic ties and serving Ghanaians abroad with integrity and excellence.”
Head of the Civil Service, Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darkoh, praised the ministry’s efforts and encouraged other institutions to emulate its best practices. He highlighted the importance of continuous reforms and digitalization in achieving an efficient and citizen-focused civil service.
Throughout the week, various ministries hosted seminars, exhibitions, and open forums to engage the public and reflect on their roles in national development. Civil Service Week 2025 reaffirmed the government’s commitment to building a transparent, accountable, and results-driven public sector.
