Spanish striker Álvaro Morata is on the verge of joining Italian side Como 1907, with all parties reaching an agreement to finalise the transfer.
According to transfer insiders, Como have agreed to pay €5 million to Galatasaray as compensation to terminate the player’s current loan spell. The deal will see Morata sign from AC Milan on loan, with an obligation to buy included in the agreement.
Authorisation for the player’s medicals and travel arrangements is expected imminently, paving the way for the formal completion of the move.
Reports indicate that Alvaro Morata had his heart set on joining Como, despite interest from other clubs. The Spanish international’s arrival is seen as a major boost to Como’s attacking options as they prepare for the new Serie A campaign.
Morata, 32, boasts an illustrious career, having played for top European clubs including Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, Atlético Madrid, and AC Milan, as well as representing Spain at multiple international tournaments.
