A huge crowd gathers at the NPP headquarters as Ken Agyapong submits nomination forms

Kennedy Agyapong, a candidate for the party’s presidential nomination and the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, has submitted his paperwork to the Asylum Down headquarters of the party.

The outspoken MP was joined by a large group of party supporters who proudly held placards that said, “Ken Ohene Agyapong for President 2024,” while jubilantly singing and dancing.

In a beautiful white outfit that exuded confidence, Kennedy Agyapong kindly thanked the cheering throng by waving in their general direction.

Former NPP general secretary Kwabena Agyapong, vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former trades minister Alan Kyerematen, former energy minister Boakye Agyarko, doctor Konadu Apraku, and former agriculture minister Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto are among the flagbearers who have so far submitted their nomination papers.

On November 4, 2023, the NPP will choose a flagbearer for the elections of 2024.

However, the party will convene a Special Congress on August 26 as a result of the filing of more than five candidates for the primary.
