The Nsawam community in the Eastern Region has been thrown into shock following the gruesome murder of a 28-year-old tricycle rider, Jacob Agbesinu.
The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Signboard, near Nsawam.
According to reports, Jacob, who operated a tricycle (commonly called Aboboyaa) with registration number GG-2999-25, had earlier received a call from an unidentified young man requesting his services to transport bamboo sticks to a construction site. That trip turned out to be his last.
Hours later, residents discovered Jacob’s lifeless body. His hands and legs had been tied, his mouth sealed with super glue, and foam was seen oozing from his nostrils.
Police officers who arrived at the scene confirmed that there were no visible cuts or wounds on the body, raising suspicion that he may have been poisoned.
Meanwhile, Jacob’s tricycle was stolen by the unknown assailants.
The disturbing incident has left residents in fear, with many calling on authorities to intensify security patrols in the area to curb rising violent crimes.
Investigations are ongoing.
