All the NPP presidential candidates will sink – Alex Segbefia on 2024 elections

In approaching 2024 presidential elections, the National Democratic Congress is expected to easily defeat the New Patriotic Party, according to Alex Segbefia, director of the NDC’s International Relations Directorate (IRD).

According to him, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will easily win regardless of the candidate selected to represent the party since the performance of the ruling party will reflect poorly on them.

He said that the NDC is confident they would win in 2024, whilst the NPP is working to repair its reputation before the presidential elections.

“My stance on this is really clear; we don’t really care what they do. I could care less. Anyone who arrives is going to sink because of the baggage they are carrying as a result of this government’s performance.

“Whatever permutation they propose, whoever is the party leader, and it gets worse when you include the two predecessors since they have both served in office, one more than the other. Therefore, combining them only makes the situation worse.

On Saturday, he remarked on JoyNews’ Newsfile, “So as far as I’m concerned, the NPP is in a very horrible spot in terms of attempting to construct a front which offers Ghanaians the optimism that things is going to change in Ghana.

When the nominations for the NPP presidential primary were closed, he responded. Prior to the NPP presidential primaries, 10 candidates have so far successfully filed nominations.

The NPP’s super delegates’ conference is anticipated to vote to reduce the number to five for the general delegates’ conference.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Joe Ghartey, Alan Kyerematen, Boakye Agyarko, Drs. Konadu Apraku and Owusu Afriyie Akoto, Kwadwo Poku, Kennedy Agyapong, and Francis Addai Nimo are the candidates.
