Atta Mills as President, Duffour as Finance Minister was Ghana’s best times – Ofosu Ampofo

National Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has said that Ghana’s better days were under the leadership of the late Atta Mills who had Kwabena Duffour as Finance Minister.

According to him, it was during this time that Ghana’s inflation remained a single bracket figure.

Ofosu Ampofo who was addressing the Chairmen of the political party in the Upper West Region said historically, the NDC has a better track record of managing Ghana’s economy and therefore it is imperative that Ghanaians go back to the NDC.

He said “The challenges that we are facing in our country now call for deeper reflection and experienced hands as a capable alternative,” Ofosu Ampofo said, adding, “We cannot look beyond the NDC for that alternative”.

The National Democratic Congress is on a reorganization path to ensure that the party takes over the leadership of the country.

The party is hoping to capitalize on flaws of the governing New Patriotic Party to come to power after 2024.

Cureently, it’s unknown who will lead the party in the 2024 elections as analyst spell doom for the party should they bring back John Dramani Mahama.
