Chairman Wontumi isn’t partnering Charles Opoku for Galamsey- Hon. Kennedy Agyapong jabs John Mahama
Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, has criticized former president John Mahama for fabricating information regarding Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, the NPP’s regional chairman for Ashanti.
At the final Charles Opoku rally, held at Assin Breku, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong addressed the crowd and said it was false for Mr. John Mahama to claim that Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, was in the region promoting galamsey.
The NPP’s parliamentary candidate for the upcoming by-election is an Electrical Engineer with Gold Fields, according to Hon. Agyapong, who is now the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, and there is no way he would support galamsey.
“Charles Opoku works for Gold Fields, the largest surface mining business in West Africa, as an electrical engineer. Mahama stated at Akropong Odumasi that this individual is staying with us because he wants to play galamsey. Is this a campaign message to advertise that Wontumi wants to join forces with him for gala?” he questioned.
