Every day, we hear of people who are anxious for work after graduating from the country’s tertiary institutions.
These graduates either create their own businesses, stay at home, or work for low-wage positions.
Today, we shed light on one of these graduates, Francisca Amoah, a first-class graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Francisca, who graduated with a First Class in Economics, is now a sprayer at her father’s garage because she was unable to find work following her National Service.

She said that she completed her National Service with the Ghana Lands Commission and that she has been trying her hardest to find work in the country since then, but to no avail.
She then chose to help her father in his spraying job in order to make some money until a miracle occurred one day.
She then spent a year learning how to spray cars.
During an interview, she stated that it is not always necessary to work in an office after completing university education, but that it is occasionally necessary to learn something different.
According to her, it is beneficial to combine what one learns in school with what one learns outside of school while studying a job since it will help them come up with better solutions to challenges they meet.
This story of Francisca should inspire any unemployed grads who are still looking for a white-collar job to try something new or learn a trade since it is never too late to start something new.
