Ghana is reeling from a tragic helicopter crash that has claimed the lives of eight individuals, including high-ranking government officials and military personnel. The crash, which occurred on Tuesday afternoon under still-unclear circumstances, marks one of the deadliest aviation disasters in recent Ghanaian history.
The Ghana Armed Forces and National Security Secretariat confirmed the fatalities late Tuesday night, describing the incident as a “national tragedy with far-reaching implications for governance and security.”

A veteran intelligence operative, Alhaji Muniru played a pivotal role in domestic and regional counter-terrorism strategies. His death is considered a critical blow to Ghana’s national security apparatus. - Dr. Samuel Sarpong – Vice Chairman, National Democratic Congress (NDC)
A senior figure in the ruling NDC, Dr. Sarpong previously served as Ashanti Regional Minister and was a key strategist within the party. His passing has sent shockwaves through the political establishment. - Mr. Samuel Aboagye – Former Parliamentary Candidate
A rising star in local politics and a community advocate, Aboagye had been gearing up for another bid in the upcoming elections. - Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala
