The Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei Mensah, says after six years in office as a minister under Nana Addo’s administration it is difficult to rate his own performance.
The Minister who has come under severe criticism over his inability to command massive development infrastructure in the region that gives the New Patriotic Party (NPP) majority votes, has been described in some circles as a flop.
The Minister would not want to be drawn into a baseless argument, noting that any rating he gives himself will be swayed by his detractors.
He however noted that there are enough reasons for him to be celebrated as ‘THE WORKING MINISTER’ in the region.
‘‘I don’t rate myself; I don’t know how people rate me. In my first four years as a minister, I bagged the best performing minister 4 consecutive times. Come to my office and see all the medals there’’
“Just last year, Greater Accra beat me to it, and even though I was second, what I am saying is I don’t rate myself, people will have to rate me, and I have told you of the ratings people are telling me’’
