‘I raised him up,’ Owusu Bempah jabs ‘ungrateful’ Victor Kusi Boateng

The founder and head of the Glorious Word Power Miracles Church International, Bishop Isaac Owusu Bempah, has charged Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng with being ungrateful.

Owusu Bempah disclosed that his relationship with Kusi Boateng began when he nurtured and mentored the National Cathedral Board of Trustees member and secretary in a sermon to his audience over the weekend.

Despite their friendship, he claimed that Kusi Boateng allegedly ignored his calls when he (Owusu Bempah) was in need of help during a previous run-in with the authorities.

“A young man named Victor Kusi Boateng, who I believe God used to aid you, is phoning because Chairman Wontumi ordered me to do so. You are currently with Dampare and the Vice President.

“I phoned more than ten times and he didn’t pick up when I’m calling you as a friend and a brother. Later, I was told by a source close to the situation that Victor had indicated he wouldn’t return my call and that I should deal with my situation, but this is a person I’ve fostered.

Victor Kusi Boateng cannot deny that I helped him grow and that he first traveled thanks to me. I mentioned everything that is recorded, so don’t be afraid. I communicated with a lot of individuals out of rage,” he insisted.

Owusu Bempah was responding to the contents of a widely circulated recording in which he was heard, among others, threatening George Akuffo Dampare, the Inspector-General of Police, and the president. He said the audio had surfaced again after two years.

He denied some of the tape, including the assertion that he traveled to Tema with President Akufo-Addo to commit murder, but he admitted most of it.

He made it clear that while he had issues with the IGP and other significant political figures, all of those issues had been settled, and he was now at peace with each of them.

In court right now, Rev. Kusi Boateng is suing a legislator for defamation.

The Reverend has been charged with having a dual identity and lying to tax officials about the registration of his multiple firms, one of which, according to the MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, is involved in shady business.
