Michael Essien sparks serious ‘trumu trumu’ rumours as he proudly rocks an LGBTQ bucket hat

Michael Essien, a former Chelsea player and Ghanaian soccer star, ignited some serious “trumu trumu” rumors after being photographed openly wearing an LGBTQ bucket hat.

We are all aware that Ghana, like many other nations, has societal and cultural views on LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer) issues that are unique to that nation.

Due to the widespread belief that same-sex marriage is abhorrent, members of the aforementioned culture are stigmatized and alienated.

Additionally, debates in public about LGBTQ rights can be very divisive, with strong resistance from cultural and religious groups.

While many LGBTQ Ghanaians might decide to conceal their sexual orientation or gender identity out of concern for social rejection or retaliation, others are also gradually coming out bravely, and it appears that Michael Essien is one of these people.

Most Ghanaians who have seen these popular photos of Michael Essien believe he is a prominent figure in the country’s LGBTQ community.

These opponents have also said that the reason he’s dropping hints about his sexual orientation is because he’s too shy to come out as gay.
