NPP’s Charles Opoku is deaf and dumb’ candidate – Sam George fires

Sam George names Charles Opoku of the NPP a “6-second man” and fires him live on television.

Sam Nartey George, a member of parliament for Ningo-Prampram, has criticized the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the recently concluded Assin North by-elections over what he claims is his unwillingness to speak out for himself.

Sam George claims that Charles Opoku was unable to speak about his goals or deliver any campaign messages on his own during the whole campaign season leading up to the by-elections that were held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.

He argues that rather than running for office, he allowed his party’s officials, including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to support him.
“I’m asking all media outlets to provide me with a 1-minute clip of the NPP candidate speaking. He remarked in an interview with TV3 that President Akufo-Addo didn’t speak at his own final rally, where he went to make those regrettable extra-prejudicial remarks.

The MP criticized Charles Opoku’s public speaking skills and questioned how he planned to speak on behalf of his constituents in parliament if he were elected.

The only time he talked was in a 6-second video when he was asked, “You’ve won the nomination, what do we expect to see? ” after receiving the honor. His response was “Nothing, Nothing, Nothing,” and that brought the conversation to a close.

The guy in question would have stood up, bowed before the speaker, and said, “Nothing, nothing, nothing,’ before going back to his seat in parliament if he had won the election and been asked to speak for his constituents. Instead, he chose to remain silent. Even attempting to utter my name, Charles Opoku, the person is speechless. I dare any media outlet to provide me with video of him making a public statement during the course of the four-week campaign,” he declared.

adding, “Was having a ‘deaf and dumb’ candidate part of a strategy? And I apologize to anyone I may have offended in any way.

“I’m putting that in quotations, because I’m not talking about someone who is dumb or deaf; I’m talking about someone who can’t even open his mouth or communicate. His own interview and all of his campaign’s communications for the four weeks were “nothing, nothing, nothing.”
