Parliament is empty, with only 12 members present as MPs travel to Assin North

On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, when Parliament started meeting, there were just 12 Members of Parliament.

Only three minority MPs were present, despite the presence of nine majority MPs.

The meeting was called to a halt due to a shortage of legislators present in the House.
Many legislators are present in Assin North to observe and support their respective candidates in the ongoing by-election.

Today’s sitting in Parliament was delayed immediately after it was decided that there was insufficient quorum to conduct parliamentary business with only 12 MPs marked present.
