Police arrests four people in connection with female victim’s abuse.
In connection with the viral video showing a female victim being exposed to harsh and degrading treatment by a group of individuals, the police have detained four suspects in Kupelga.
Following an initial investigation into the aforementioned video, the suspects Awizore Amolt, Akolbila Asorwogo, Atibila Aladago, and Akolbila Ben were apprehended in the early hours of today, June 13, 2023, during a Police intelligence operation.
While efforts are made to apprehend additional conspirators so they can face justice, the four suspects who are now in police custody are supporting the investigation.
As we speak with the victim’s family and in the interim, plans have been made for a police clinical psychologist to offer the victim psychosocial support.
