Police ban vigilante groups in Adamawa from election duties

Adamawa State Police Command, in conjunction with sister security agencies, has banned hunters, vigilantes and Civilian JTF amongst other local security groups from election duties.
Movement of vehicles have also been restricted from 7am to 5pm on February 25 except those on special duties and essential services.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, SP Suleiman Nguroje, added that the Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola, had ordered that a stop and search exercise be intensified at border areas.
