Samira Bawumia veils only during campaign, afterwards she slays – Suhuyini claims

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia has been criticized by Alhassan Suhuyini of promising but failing to be a true representation of Muslims in Ghana.

Suhuyini accused Bawumia, who is now running for flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), of playing the Muslim card to become Vice President while remaining silent on issues impacting Muslims, particularly hijab and Hajj costs.

On Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana (June 20), the MP stated that the Bawumias were packaging their identities before accusing the Second Lady of being Muslim when it suited her.

I was actually observing Samira Bawumia on the platform, wearing a veil, when I said, “Repackaging, look at how they do it so neatly. She dresses like this when running ads, packaging, and repackaging, and then she kills.

“After that, she slays. You see her pictures all over, so you know what slay means.” During the campaign, she embodies the ideal Muslim wife; yet, once it is over, she turns into a kill queen. He emphasized that she takes the photos, uploads them, and does all of that.

Suhuyini asserted that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia had failed to fulfill his promise to serve as a strong voice for the Muslim community during his vice presidential campaign.
