Sekyi Nketia withdraws from the candidacy for NPP flagbearership

The flagbearership contest for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been abandoned by Eric Sekyi Nketia, a senior lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW).
The instructor explained his withdrawal as being due to the party’s unfair treatment.
Eric Sekyi Nketia disclosed that he made three attempts, all of which were unsuccessful, to collect nomination forms from the party’s headquarters.
Nketia claimed that after contacting the General Secretary and Chairman of the National Council via a petition, his issues were not taken seriously.
As a result, he has decided to withdraw from the race, allowing other contenders to run.
