Tottenham Launch €50m Bid for Savinho as Manchester City Hold Out for Higher Fee
Tottenham Hotspur have made an official approach to sign highly-rated Brazilian winger Savinho, submitting a first proposal worth €50 million, My News Ghana understands.
Sources close to the negotiations reveal that Manchester City — who hold the player’s rights — are open to sanctioning a sale during the current transfer window, but only if their valuation is met. City are reportedly holding out for a higher fee, with discussions between the two Premier League clubs still ongoing.
Savinho, 20, has emerged as one of Europe’s most exciting young attacking talents following a standout season with Spanish side Girona, where he was on loan from City Football Group. His pace, technical skill, and creativity have drawn interest from several top clubs, but Spurs are believed to be leading the race after making the first formal offer.
The Brazilian is understood to be enthusiastic about the prospect of joining Tottenham, where manager Ange Postecoglou is seeking to bolster his squad ahead of a demanding season. However, the deal will depend on whether Spurs can reach an agreement with Manchester City over the transfer fee and payment structure.
Negotiations are expected to intensify in the coming days as Tottenham push to secure the signing before rival suitors enter the frame.
