Zuarungu NMTC calls for public-private partnerships to provide hostel facilities for students

[ad_1]

A serious deficit in accommodation for students of the Zuarungu Nursing and Midwifery Training College (NMTC) in the Upper East Region has become a source of worry for students and authorities of the institution.

Despite having a student population of over 700, the current hostel facilities of the college can only accommodate 254 students.

The rest of the students have to rent private accommodation outside the institution – a situation which hampers discipline, according to the school authorities.

In an interview with JoyNews during the 2023 matriculation of the college, the Principal, Michael Mantamia indicated that the college is therefore open to public-private partnerships, to build hostel facilities for students.
